True Love (I Corinthians 13)

If I had the voice of angels
Resounding as a gong
I could never tell love's story
I could never sing that song
With faith that could move mountains
And a life to be admired
Without love, my vessel's empty
Nothing left to be desired
Love is kind and it is patient
And real love can never die
It won't fade like old love letters
That make a tired heart cry
Passion burns inside the soul
But fades and slips away
While love survives the strongest storms
Inside the heart to stay
No grave can hold eternal love
Love lives long after death
Inside the grieving hearts and stays
Until our final breath
In the eyes of newborn children
On the wings of heaven's doves
Few things will last forever
But none as great as love
