My Pledge of Allegiance

I pledge allegiance to myself

And all that I believe

To everyone who died in vain

To loved ones who still grieve

I pledge allegiance to the poor

To those who live in need

To fight against the status quo

One nation under greed

I pledge to fight injustice

And for equality

Until we are that shining light

And everyone is free

I pledge to not be silenced

By those who disagree

The path of least resistance

Is not the road for me

I pledge to never compromise

From all I know is right

To rise above the darkness

Until all live in the light

Until no child goes hungry

Until we share the wealth

Until all people live in peace
